At ISTS a focused multi-year effort resulted in the successful development of “PARS” software. PARS is capable of processing digital aerial photography imagery and GPS data to produce Stitch Mosaic imagery and Standard Ortho Mosaic imagery data. The software uses a unique patented algorithm which requires no IMU or ground control points. This has allowed for a reduction in size, weight and cost for our aerial photogrammetry system, called Falcon-PARS. Further, our data processing service has the capability to process the data into True Ortho Mosaic imagery and DSM (Digital Surface Model) data sets.
Falcon-PARS includes an AscTec Falcon 8 UAV and our PARS (Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) software. The guiding theme for development of Falcon-PARS has been “smaller and lighter” – but still robust and highly capable. It weighs 4 pounds (including the camera and camera mount).
